For as long as satellite and cable TV have been around, many people have tried to trick the system through technical trickery, otherwise known as “hacking”. A long long time ago hackers were actually getting away with free Direct TV, but eventually like all good things it must come to an end, so did their lives. They are all most likely still in jail as you read this.

Today if you actually manage to come up with a new Direct TV hack it will most likely put you in jail. You are going to be fighting an up hill battle with Direct TV and their tough new “Direct TV Hacker Team” They cannot be fooled so do not even try.How hard do you think it is to hack Direct TV now? Well it’s pretty hard actually, the following is a list of just a FEW of the cases won by Direct TV.

- Direct TV was recently awarded $70,450.00 in damages against a Pennsylvania man who stole DirecTV programming for more than a year.

- The Direct TV Hacking team was directly responsible for the imprisonment of a South Carolina man who has been jailed for 3 years and fined $750,000.00

- Think it stops with the guy next door? Think again, a New York bar was fined $50,000.00 for hacking Direct TV.

I bet these guys wish now that they just opted in for paying the $40 or so monthly fee, they wouldn’t be in jail right now huh?

So what do you think now? Gonna do it?

Lots of people are searching the Internet for a Direct TV hack and i can totally understand why that is, with the economic meltdown and when the interest rates just seem to be going up all the time. Many unfortunate people are losing their homes! I can imagine if you are sitting there reading this right now and considering taking advantage of an opportunity like hacking Direct TV (if you were able to beat the system that is).

If you are paying for Direct TV each month, this is about the price you would pay each year! Many couples and home owners are deciding to stay more at home and rent a movie rather than paying the costly fee each month for cable or satellite. Did i forget to bring up the $1000 yearly cost again? Direct TV is worth it i hear you saying?

Well I have found the ideal solution for you. The majority of channels are coming directly out of the U.S. which has all of your sports, kids, entertainment, movies, news channels and many more.

To Save Over $1000 This Year Click Here

A couple of weeks ago i bought this for $49.95 and it has well been worth the money, with a saving of over $1000 i could not pass it up. I live in Australia and have Foxtel, which is a service just like Direct TV that pumps out pay TV channels. Being able to say good bye to my Foxtel this year will save me over $1000 from recurring monthly bills. It is truely awesome being able to watch pretty much all of the stations i had being broadcast in Australia on my computer.

But how will i watch these channels on my home theater system?

I have to brag a little bit here and tell you about my huge projector and the huge screen that goes with it, beacuse i wanted to be able to view all of my TV station being fed through my computer on my projector screen. You will most likely have the same problem. So i had to come up with a way to transfer the signal from my computer to my TV for both of us.

On the back all PC’s you have your video card with outputs for audio, monitors, or your TV.A lot of the most newer computers and TV sets will have the S-Video or the HDMI output. I happen to have a newer TV which has the HDMI output that is much better at picking up a nice digital signal. Older style TV sets will have the S-Video output, which means if you have an older style TV you will be ready to view all of the channels that are pumping through your PC on your TV.

So get ready to not only save over $1000 this year but also sit back and relax on your comfy lounge with your family or a loved one while you share some popcorn and watch a lengthy movie.

NO Extra Hardware

NO Extra Satellite Dish

NO Spyware

NO Subscriptions or Recurring Charges Ever

Works Anywhere In the World

Happy saving and take care.

By: Romeo French

About the Author:

SIMPLE HTML FORMS

1. Bypassing Required Fields

Surely you have met a webpage that requires you to fill all fields in a form in order to submit it. It is possible to bypass these types of restrictions on any webpage. If you take a look at the webpage’s source and follow it down to the form’s code, you will notice the onsubmit form attribute. Hopefully by this time you have experienced the power of javascript and you know that javascript has control over every single element in a webpage, including forms.We can use javascript to our advantage in every page we view for we can modify, delete, or add any element to the webpage. In this case we wish to clear the form’s onsubmit attribute in order for the form to be submitted successfully.

The onsubmit attribute generally points to a function that checks the form to have the correct format. A function that does this may look something like this:

function formSubmit(x)

{

if(x.email.value==”") return false;

return true;

}

…

…

I will not go into great detail about how the formSubmit function works. You should know that if the (textfield/optionfield/option/..) field is left blank, the form will not be submitted to process.php. Now comes the moment of truth, how do we modify the form so that onsubmit returns true everytime? The way we can access the form with javascript and do this is:

document.forms[x].onsubmit=”return true;”;

or

document.spamform.onsubmit=”return true;”;

Both of these ‘queries’ will allow you to submit the form free of restrictions. The secret is how to execute this. I do this using my browser’s Location bar. All you have to do is enter this text into the location bar and press enter:

[removed]document.spamform.onsubmit=”return true;”;

The above statement will not work because the ‘query’ will return a value javascript doesn’t know what to do with it so it dumps the returned value on the screen. We need a way to use this value and escape it from passing on to javascript. I know the exact way to do this, with alert()!

[removed]alert(document.spamform.onsubmit=”return true;”);

You will see an alertbox with “return true;” instead of dumping this value out to the webbrowser. Once you have executed this query you will be able to enter whatever value into whatever field in spamform.

Full Article: Hacking with Javascript

By: sandya

About the Author:

Over time and use with a windows machine you may notice that it does not run as fast as when you first got it.

This is usually because of a number of different problems that can occur with regular use of a computer. The smart computer user knows about these things and how to repair them on their own rather then having to hire a technician to solve the problem, (costing you time with out your computer and usually around 50 dollars an hour).

Possible problems usually include one or many of the following things:

Viruses

They happen, even if you spend all the money you can on antivirus software, you likely don’t even know you have one.

Spam

Loosely falls under the same definition as a virus but with some negligible variations, can also include programs that hit you computer with nasty pop ups and redirect you to web pages you don’t want to visit.

Registry

This is a comprehensive list of all programs that have ever been installed on your computer, sometimes when you uninstall a program some information can still be left on this list, the longer you have your computer the larger this list is likely to be.

To much junk

Unused programs and applications (different browser menus, and other programs)

Start up programs

On the bottom right of your computer beside the clock is usually a bunch of icons. These represent programs that are running on your computer at a given time, the problem is that not all programs that are running display an icon in the taskbar. There is usually much more programs running at a time that you are unaware of.

So lets get started then. Bellow are some tips almost any computer user can performe, to help speed up your computer

1. Restore Point

Before we get started we are going to record a windows restore point. If at any point you feel you’ve made a big mistake you can always go back into the windows restore program and reverte to where you’re computer was at before you tried to fix it. This should give you the confidence to play and adjust settings on your computer without the worry of messing it up. To do this you go to the start menu -> Program files – > Accessories -> System tools -> System restore.

A new program will open from there all you have to do is ask your computer to set a restore point, later if needed you can revert to it. A restore point is a virtual snap shot of your computers settings. It may take a few moments to process.

2. Safe Mode

Because you probably have viruses and unwanted programs slowing down your computer, in order to make the clean up process easier and more efficient we will put your computer into safe mode to run quicker. Safe mode is a basic start up of windows without all the extra bells and whistles that slow down your computer. Also if there is any viruses or programs running on your computer they will very likely not be running in safe mode.

To get into safe mode simply restart your computer then right as it is starting up press F8 on your keyboard, A menu will come up listing some options for you, you need to select Safe mode with networking so that you can still have access to the internet.

It is important to press F8 at a precise time as windows is starting up, some computers will prompt you on the bottom of the screen as its loading but its ok if you just keep pressing it until the menu loads, you can definitely press it more than once.

3a. Windows Updates

Windows frequently releases security updates for problems they find with their operating system. It is usually set up to do it automatically but most people ignore it for whatever reason. Even if this is not the case go to www.windowsupdate.microsoft.com and run through their automatic updates program. Its really easy just basically keep clicking yes and next until it is complete. Once the updates are finished it will prompt you to restart your computer, do so before you continue onto the next step.

3b. Restart Again

The computer will likely restart you into normal windows mode, we will continue to work on your computer through safe mode as it will run the next steps quicker, and we can pretty much guarantee that the viruses won’t be running aswell. So restart your computer again and enter into safe mode again.

4. Anti-virus

Ok the easy step to do now is to run a virus scan. Even if you don’t have an anti-virus program on your computer you can still scan your computer for free. The site I recommend is antivirus.com put on by a company called trendmicro, this company mainly profits from its corporate clients but offers a free online scan to public users. Simply go to antivurs.com and look for their free online services for home and office use. Then follow the instructions to run the housecall program on all your local hard drives. This program will provide a current scan of your computer removing all known viruses. Its updates everyday with new definitions so you always know you have an up to date program.

There are a couple other virus programs I should mention. Some of the commercial versions of virus software (Norton and Mcafee) are usually expensive, and require a subscription. In addition to the cost they all use alot of your computers resources to run. So if you are trying to remove virus to speed up a computer by installing Norton you likely won’t notice a difference in speed as it is probably making just as slow.

The solution is to get AVG free edition, Which is a free virus program for all to use, They do also have a subscription version that has a few more features but even the full version of AVG uses way less resources on your computer then norton or Mcafee.So after you’ve finished fixing your computer if you do want to install an antivirus program you may choose to.

4b. Restart in normal mode

At this point you will need to restart you computer and let it boot normally to get out of safe mode

5. MSCONFIG

This program isn’t very well known to most computer users but it is crucial to keeping your computer clean and organized. MSCONFIG is a windows program on all windows machines that controls all start up settings. To access it go to your start menu and click on the run command then type MSCONFIG and press enter.

This program will open in a new window and there will usually be 4 tabs at the top of the window. The main one that you can edit with little difficulty or computer knowledge is the start up tab, click on it and you will see a list of all programs that start when your computer starts up. In reality there is really only 2 or 3 programs that are absolutely necessary These are your systray and anything to do with windows explorer. At this point what you can do is go through the list and uncheck any programs that look suspicious or that you know are malicious or unwanted. When you apply the settings it will ask you to reboot. Once the reboot is complete if all is well you can uncheck more of the programs from the list and see if you computer will still run as you need it. Usually I uncheck almost all of them then add the ones I absolutely need back in after. You can also work in reverse and gradually remove a few at a time and make sure your computer is still ok after each reset. You will need to performe this step a number of times until you have the computer running as quickly as possible with the programs you need.

Usually some of the types of programs that are ok to have on your start up include your software for your burner, msn, your antivirus software, printer software,windows themes.

Tip: If your not sure what a particular program does then you can google all the information list in the startup list on that program and you can usually get an answer.

6. Registry

Similarly to MSCONFIG and the start up list. Your computer registry stores a list of all programs that have ever been installed on your machine. So if you’ve had your computer a while and added and removed alot of programs there can be alot of entries in your registry. A handy program also available on the antivirus.com site is the Hijack This program. This program allows you to clean up and edit your registry.

Caution!!!!!

Be very careful with this step, only remove entries you are sure that are old and unused. This can mess up your computer if done incorrectly, that is why the hijack this program is a good tool to use. Risk of failure can be reduced by setting another restore point before you performe this task.

The windows program that is used to allow you to perform the same task is called REGEDIT. I would only suggest this program for advanced users, and I only use it when I know specifically what program I want to remove from the registry as I can search for it with the find and replace tool.

Hope these tips provide you with a little more confidence and can save you a few service call to the tech support companies.

By: Geoffrey Vaughan

About the Author:

It may have been against the rules to copy what your classmate was writing on his test during exams. But when it comes to copying the steps taken towards obtaining results we have a different approach.

Would you like to experience the same successful results someone you know of has? People like Donald Trump and Thomas Edison can certainly be said to have experienced things in life that many of us only dream of. Donald and Thomas may seem a little distant, so let’s choose people a little closer to you.

How about your 35 year old Uncle with success in his finances and relationships? This man is practically like a father to you. He lives in a half of-a-million-dollar home and never looks at prices. Chances are you admire is current state of affairs.

By asking these people how they got to where they are, and replicating the actions they took, you can obtain the same results they have. Tony Robbins talks a lot about this in his book Unlimited Power.

The past 10 years have been a results-oriented economy. No one wants anything that does not give them results as soon as possible. Today we have a new twist when we think of replicating someone’s actions. Instead of replicating what they have done, we condense the time frame and intensify the quality of actions being taken.

For example, I admire Farrah Gray, a mid-twenty year old businessman who achieved successful results in starting businesses when we was 14 years old. How did Farrah Gray get to this point?

He had one really good mentor named Roi Tauer. Roi encouraged Farrah to take on big challenges at a very young age. I see having a mentor is very important-particularly a mentor who has achieved the results I would like to see in my life.

Getting a mentor does not have to take 2 years. You can make a few phone calls this afternoon to people like Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor or your uncle and ask them if they wouldn’t mind being your mentor. Tell them it will only require a 5 minute phone call from you once a week.

As an entrepreneur, Farrah would learn about a new business by reading all the books at the bookstore on a given topic. We are talking 20-30 books. By doing the same thing I can learn everything there is to know about a venture (or adventure) I am getting myself into before I take the first step.

Reading books takes about 1/3 the time we think it does. Keep these points in mind next time you foresee having a lot of reading to do:

• Considering buying audio books so you can listen to them when you are traveling to and from work.

• Just because you started reading a book does not mean you have to finish it. If you know the material and it is boring, move on to something more interesting that complements your interests.

I am creating a system out of the good fortune I observe in other people. You can do this with anyone. You need to study how they accomplished the results they have today, and find a way you can replicate their actions in your own style.

By building upon each other’s strengths, we can actually get somewhere faster instead of reinventing the wheel each time we want to do something.

By: Daniel Massicotte

About the Author:

Let me illustrate with an example and follow up with the right interpretation:

Three days ago I went to bed intending to get 1000 hits/day on my website. I had no idea how I was going to make this happen. I thought about it for a few minutes and then fell asleep. The next morning, my alarm rang, I got out of bed, and an idea popped into my brain: Why not e-mail all your customers from your Lego shop letting them know about your website (about 150 people).

As I entertained that thought for a few seconds, I realized that I could announce my site to another 425 people. I might as well e-mail my Gmail contacts while I am at it too.

So here we have an example of unlocking the subconscious. I had already collected all the e-mail addresses of my Lego shop customers, but I forgot that I had the list stored in a spreadsheet somewhere on my computer.

This moment-of-light does not always happen in the morning when you get up. I had it happen to me again this evening as I was reading Robert Plank’s blog. I did some quick calculations and realized that I need to submit more articles online to get myself closer to my 1000 hits/day goal.

Using your subconscious to your advantage in this way is critical to realizing the kind of goals you want in your life and achieving them.

By: Daniel Massicotte

About the Author:

CSS Hacks and tips for multiple browsers & detection

More and more web developers are ditching tables and coming round to the idea of usingCSS to control the layout of their site. With the many benefits of usingCSS, such as quicker download time, improved accessibility and easier site management, why not?

The problem with CSS

Historically the main problem with using CSS has been lack of browser support. This is no longer the case as version 5 browsers, which all have good support for CSS, now account for over 99% of browsers in use.

Instead, the problem is that browsers can sometimes interpret CSS commands in different ways, causing developers to throw their arms up in the air and switch back to pixel-perfect table layouts. Fear not though, as you learn more about CSS you’ll gradually start to understand the different browser interpretations and realise that there aren’t really that many.

How browser detection using CSS hacks works

The way browser detection using CSS hacks works is to send one CSS rule to the browser(s) you’re trying to trick, and then send a second CSS rule to the other browsers, overriding this first command. If you have two CSS rules with identical selectors then the second CSS rule will always take precedence.

Say for example you wanted the space between your header area and the content to have a gap of 25px in Internet Explorer, or IE as it’s affectionately known. This gap looks good in IE but in Firefox, Opera and Safari the gap is huge and a 10px gap looks far better. To achieve this perfect look in all these browsers you would need the following two CSS rules:

#header {margin-bottom: 25px;}

#header {margin-bottom: 10px;}

The first command is intended for IE, the second for all other browsers. How does this work? Well, it won’t at the moment because all browsers can understand bothCSS rules so will use the second CSS rule because it comes after the first one.

By inserting a CSS hack we can perform our browser detection by hiding the second CSS rule from IE. This means that IE won’t even know it exists and will therefore use the first CSS rule. How do we do this? Read on and find out!

Browser detection for Internet Explorer

To send different CSS rules to IE, we can use the child selector command which IE can’t understand. The child selector command involves two elements, one of which is the child of the other. So, html>body refers to the child, body, contained within the parent, html.

Using the example of the header margin, our CSS command would be:

#header {margin-bottom: 3em;}

html>body #header {margin-bottom: 1em;}

IE can’t understand the second CSS rule due to the html>bodyCSS command so will ignore it and use the first rule. All other browsers will use the second rule.

Browser detection for Internet Explorer 5

It may seem strange at first to send different CSS rules to different versions of a browser, but in the case of IE5 it’s very necessary. This is due to IE5′s misinterpretation of the box model. When specifying the width of an element in CSS, padding and borders aren’t included in this value. IE5 however, incoporates these values into the width value causing element widths to become smaller in this browser.

The following CSS rule would result in a width of 10em for all browsers, except IE5 which would give it a width of just 5em ( IE5 would incorporate two sets of padding and border, on both the left and right, when calculating the width):

#header {padding: 2em; border: 0.5em; width: 10em;}

The solution to this problem? Perform browser detection and send a different CSS rule to IE5:

#header {padding: 2em; border: 0.5em; width: 15em; width/**/:/**/ 10em;}

IE5 will use the first width value of 15em, 5em of which will be taken up by the two sets of padding and border (one each for the left and for the right). This would ultimately give the element a width of 10em in IE5.

The 15em value will then be overridden by the second width value of 10em by all browsers except IE5, which for some reason can’t understand CSS commands with empty comment tags either side of the colons. It doesn’t look pretty but it does work!

Browser detection for Internet Explorer on the Mac

Quite simply, IE on the Mac does strange things with CSS. The browser’s become somewhat obsolete as Microsoft aren’t going to be bringing out an updated version. As such, many web developers code their CSS-driven sites so that the site works in IE/Mac, although it may not offer the same level of advanced functionality or design. Provided IE/Mac users can access all areas of the site this is seen as a suitable way of doing things.

To hide a command using the IE/Mac CSS hack7 is simple, and involves wrapping a set of dashes and stars around as many CSS rules as you like:

/* Hide from IE-Mac \*/

#header {margin-bottom: 3em;}

#footer {margin-top: 1.5em;}

/* End hide */

IE/Mac will simply ignore all these commands. This CSS hack can actually be quite useful if there’s a certain area of the site not working properly in IE/Mac. If that section isn’t fundamental to being able to use the site, you can simply hide it from IE/Mac like so:

#noiemac {display: none}

/* Hide from IE-Mac \*/

#noiemac {display: block;}

/* End hide */

The first CSS rule hides the entire section assigned the noiemac id (i.e.

Browser detection for IE 4 and Netscape 4

Version 4 browsers have limited and somewhat erratic support for CSS. Making a CSS layout in these browsers, whose market share has now slipped well below 1%, can be extremely challenging. It’s become common practice nowadays to completely hide the CSS file from version 4 and earlier browsers. This can be achieved using the @import directive to call up the CSS document:

Version 4 (and earlier) browsers will display a non-styled version of the site as they can’t understand this @import directive.

Conclusion

On the whole, modern browsers have very good support for CSS – certainly good enough for you to be using CSS to control layout and presentation. Sometimes however, certain page elements will appear differently in different browsers. Don’t worry too much if you don’t know the reason why – if you can fix it up with these CSS hacks then your web pages should look great across all browsers!

By: Blank

About the Author:

Hacking is one of those terms dropped in conversations to prove management is on top of the issues related to computer security. Computer security breaches are reported everyday and occur in even the most tightly controlled environments simply because people are not thoroughly trained in how to identify them or mission critical systems have points where security is missing. Operations where you would think all precautions have been taken find themselves embarrassed when someone steals important information for the purpose of committing a crime.

As recently as November 2008, it was reported a prison inmate gained access to employee online files containing personal information using a computer that was not intended to have access to the internet. The programmers thought access to the internet had been prevented. But “not intended to” doesn’t mean much when using integrated computer systems, because hackers can find ways to get around portals that are guarded. It’s like securing the front and back doors of a building while leaving the side windows unlocked.

Understanding the Problem

In the case of the prison inmate, he accessed employee files using a thin client on the prison server. Though the server was not programmed to allow internet access, the inmate cleverly entered the internet using stolen username and password information from employee files and uncovering a portal in the software used by inmates for legal research.

If an inmate can hack into a prison system with sophisticated security systems meant to guard the public, it is clear there must be multi-levels of security which notify those monitoring the system that an attempt to break-in is happening. The goal is to catch and stop the breach before any information is accessed. In other words, a well designed security system will have two features:

* Security systems preventing penetration

* Trained employees with the knowledge to recognise the signs of a hacking attempt and possible entry points for hacking

You can hire an internet security service to assess your security and design a penetration preventing application, but the employees using the system day-in and day-out need to be knowledgeable in the ways system attackers operate and how they locate and abuse vulnerable systems.

It Takes One to Know One

Basically, you teach your employees how to be hackers so they can prevent hacking. Courses which are intended to teach employees about internet security systems focus on how hackers exploit systems and how to recognise attempts. They also learn how countermeasures work and return to the workplace ready to implement organisational-specific measures to protect computer systems.

If the prison had established security levels which provided notification someone was trying to access employee files through a software program and then prevented that access, there would have been no breach. It is important to make sure your employees are knowledgeable so they can identify possible vulnerability, recognise hacking attempts, know how to use exploit tools, and can develop countermeasures.

Many times hackers make it all the way to sensitive information because employees don’t recognise hacking activity. There is an old expression that says, “It takes one to know one.” In the world of hacking, it takes an employee highly trained in hacking to know a hacker. But the payoff for this kind of training is immeasurable as company assets are protected.

By: Rob McAdam

About the Author:

Indeed, the internet has become a medium that can provide amusement for people from all walks of life and gambling has become an integral part of that. People find gambling so entertaining that it has branched out and successfully gained accessed into the Internet.

In this form of entertainment, players are ready to risk their money. If you go into, online Poker web site, you will learn that it’s no different from a real casino. Players either win or lose and would even attempt to cheat just so they could win more.

Since online gambling is something that people get addicted to and because of this the number of players in Poker Stars continues to grow. All of these Poker players would naturally want to win but we know that this is not possible. What people do instead to win in online Poker is use a cheat software or do a Poker Stars hack.

Is it really possible to do a Poker Stars hack? Poker Stars is no different from Google, every one wants to keep up with Google so their web site will rank high but Google is always on the move and keeps on changing their algorithm. The same thing happens with Poker Stars, any program that can hack through Poker Stars is only good for a couple of days at the most, later on this will be discovered by Poker Stars and you can say goodbye to the hacking program. Just a warning, you should know that Poker Stars is constantly changing its procedures and security software.

It’s amazing to note though that one way for players to hack is through the use of robot software. The robots can conceal the identity of the player and can work with hacking software which will enable you to win a lot of money. The hacking software can reveal all your opponents’ cards and even predict what their next move will be. This is illegal and once caught you should prepare for the consequences.

If you want to play safe then you’d best settle for Poker Stars cheat software, but if you are daring enough you can still hire a skilled programmer or geek that can create a hacking software.

It might work for a period of time but eventually this will be disabled by the ever evolving security measures of Poker Stars. What’s in it for you? You might find yourself stunned once your hacking program suddenly stops working and in a disadvantageous position where you can be penalized or sentenced to jail.

Bottom line is Poker Stars players have to understand that developing a technique which can maximize any beneficial deviation and minimize any loss in a game is the best course of action.

This is the best way to win because it’s legal and doesn’t break any ground rules of Poker Stars. Now, you don’t have to worry about any penalty if you are caught hacking. If you’re still determined to hack Poker Stars, yes, you can but just be ready for the consequences.

By: Matthew Donaldson

About the Author:

Without rest we patched all servers and changed important parts of our data structure to ensure more security in the future. Moreover, it was inevitable to reset all game servers to a state before the hacking. Of course all premium players got a compensation of 5 days to make up for the lost premium time.

Since the hacker got access to your account passwords and recovery keys we changed them all. We sent an email with the new account data to the address your account is registered to. Unfortunately, many players did not receive this email for several reasons. Please do not send email requests to get your new password, we will solve the problem in another way.

Some hints to help yourself:

Many players confuse their account data, so please think about which email address you used for your account. Then you can easily look at the right place. Our Lost Account Interface can tell you the account number if you do not know to which account the new password belongs. If your email account was full or you accidentally deleted the email with the new password, use the Lost Account Interface to request a new password for your Tibia account. If you cannot access your email account anymore, please contact your email provider to get the email account back. Then you can also use the Lost Account Interface. Personalised accounts can get a new password in any case using the Lost Account Interface.

Do not worry, we won’t let you down and work on a solution for the remaining unaccessible accounts. Stay tuned for more information in the next days.

Please also remember the following: For security reasons you cannot change your password to a password you have used before. Nobody needs to ask you for your password for any reason! Only you need to know your password. Remember it well and do not tell it anyone else. Above all, the CipSoft Team or any other official person will never ask you for your password. Only enter your password at our website or to log into the game! The only official website for Tibia is www.tibia.com, so never enter your password at any other site. Especially do not believe statements at any fanpage affirming something else. To log into the game, only use the original Tibia client available at this site. If you enter your password in any other program you risk that someone else may get it and that you will lose your account.

We hope that we can soon continue our normal work, the work on the next bigger game update you have been already expecting for a long time!

See you in Tibia!

By: Emma

About the Author:

This article is meant for all of those who have heard of Hacking. Most of you think that hacking is illegal, an immoral activity. Hacking is defined as increasing capacity of a device such that it can perform actions other then those defined and intended. It may also mean to take control of other machines. A hacker is a person who initiates this action and is extremely knowledgeable in computer programming.

Hacking has got bad name due to few people, organizations and media. Some of the hackers chose to use their knowledge to disrupt computers, steal information and gain illegal access. The motive was to hurt and steal. Most of the genuine hackers are ethical and are put in their skills to find new ways and means to use software or hardware. Also Ethical hackers are used to test any vulnerability in software and plug them before non ethical hackers find it.

Some hackers cross the line but do not stray too far and are called Grey Hackers. Hacking has been around since computers came to use. People who hack into computers live in almost every country in the world. Hackers are normal people with extraordinary ability and knowledge. They succeed where other programmers fail. They find ways to twist rules, bend rules, break them and define new ones. They set new boundaries in software and hardware usage. Let us look at various types of hacking.

Types of Hacking:

1. Hacking for user information

2. Web based hacking.

Hacking for user information involves taking control of computer to extract information without the knowledge of actual owner. Web based hacking involves playing with a website. It will be interesting to look in each type of hacking.

Hacking for user information: To gain information most hackers use Phishing, Brute Force Method, Key loggers and Trojans. While phishing, hackers make a web page which is exact clone of the website their target will visit. When the target keys in, they redirect him / her, to their own web page. This new web page captures the details and passes it to hackers.

Brute Force Method involves attack using automated scripts which will try all possible combination. It takes time and computing power to succeed. This technique was used earlier for email passwords but now Image Capture trick used by most websites has rendered it useless.

Key loggers and Trojans are similar in action. These programs are sent to user computers and installed discretely. They send the information back to hacker. Once hacker receives your private information they use it for their personal benefit.

Web site hacking: Hackers use SQL Injection, XSS and Shells. SQL injection works for website which have SQL database at their backend. Using a parse command one can get in the information stored in these databases. Shells and XSS techniques work by twisting the content and cookies.

Though this information my sound malicious but it is presented so that you can safeguard your website and information against these basic attack types and use Internet without any problems.

By: John K French

About the Author:
